In Hana I have GMail, Google Reader, Facebook, Friendfeed, Socialthing and Backpack. The one that’s getting the least use and is about to be dropped is Socialthing. Because FB is open all the time I can post directly there. I’m using Socialthing solely to post to Twitter then, and if I put Twitter where it is then why use it at all? There will always be overlap somewhere with all these things going on but in FF I already have del.icio.us and YouTube which is what is next to Socialthing. And it’s also not letting me wander around and see who else is going on - that happens in FF. I guess it’s a case of see who wins in the longer run.

Don’t think I ever thought I would hear you say “Because FB is open all the time I can post directly there.”
I have a love/hate thing with FB.
I hate the apps and the invites sent out. But I like reading groups, watching local stuff. It’s also dog-ugly. A pleasant visual experience it is not.
But Hana has changed how I used those sites because it stays open while I open/close browsers while working. My biggest obstacle for sites such as these was the fact they were bookmarks. Now they have a permanent home.
